Caveat emptor

Caveat emptor - “Let the buyer beware”

I purchase a lot of packages so that I can offer the Newest
programs. software, eBooks that I can find for my members
and I spend a lot of money on them and it burns my butt when
I get had and the seller thinks it is ok to do so.

The Other night I was tired and going through my email when I
saw “Brand New Combo Package Ready To Roll!” and I
purchased it for $14.95 and was preparing it last night to send
out to all of you and something told me to double check the
package and when I did I was shocked to see 2 of the 5 items
in the package were from 2006 and 2007. I really didn’t care
much about the other 3 because I already had them and just
wanted to get the 2 that I didn’t have.

Well when I wrote to the seller and voiced my opinion that it
was a Rip-Off, he replied:

No my friend, you are wrong. This is not a rip off package,
infact, this was brand spankin’ new the second I finished
putting it together.

Not every item was brand new, they almost never are, and
most marketers that have been around for a while already
know this. And these same marketers are the ones that
usually buy these packages.

If you have spent any time online researching Internet
Marketing, when you take a few products and put
them together to create a new one, that becomes a
never before seen package. I also created a brand
new resellers kit fot this package, furthering its value
as a new package.

I have bought hundreds of packages that have some old and
some new products in them.

So I’m sorry that you feel like you were mislead, but in no
way is that statement true. Ask any experienced Online
Marketer.

Well I replied to that still claiming it was a rip-off and the reply
this time was just one word “Dense“. It really bothers me that
this person feels it is ok to Bundle old stuff and sell it as a Brand
New Bundle. As an Experienced Online Marketer I have Never
done this as I put packages together with all New Items unless
otherwise specified and I do not use Deceitful Tactics Like this.

I have purchased many packages from Big Name Online
Marketers and when they say it is Brand New the items are
all Brand New. People wonder why Online Marketers get a RAP
and are called Scammers, it is exactly Tactics like this that
make people feel that way and it has to STOP!

From now on I will be emailing any seller that I want to purchase
the items offer from to make sure they are 100% Brand New
items before I purchase them and if they do not reply in a timely
manner I will assume they are not new and move on. I suggest
that everyone start doing the samething just so you do not get
Ripped Off as I did, Remember that if you pay via PayPal they
will not refund your money if you file a complaint because it is
a Non-Tangible item so the seller gets to laugh at you while
he/she counts their bounty.

    Hey Scott,

If you think that is bad, let me tell you about my experience:

I bought an ebook for $17.00 (one of my more impulsive and extravagant purchases), from somebody who normally doesn’t sell such things, but when i got the ebook it was copyright 2003 and the links in the ebook to check for updates didnt work. I tried to email the author of the ebook with no luck. Only then did I email the guy who sold me the ebook to tell him that I was dissatisfied, but even then I just said hey refund me half of the cost of the ebook since at least I learned something from it. No response. Sent it again. No response. Finally I caught him online and I said hey did you get my request, he said no how can i help you. So I forwarded my previous emails to him and guess what? He never replied.

So I forwarded them to him again later, and still heard nothing. I even sent him a scathing email about customer service which he had the gall to send me an email about that same day (autoresponder). Still nothing.

Can you believe it? The guy can’t even respond to a reasonable question, especially when his offer talked about his money back guarantee. It’s disappointing, but it’s an opportunity for those of us who care about our customers to stand out from the crowd.

Understand what you talk about. Some people did believe their did the right thing when they bundle software, ebook, video together from last year and say it is new.

I always fell this is a ripoff it is better to create a new thing than mention the other as bonus when you bundle them.

And then you did occasionaly meet people who buy product to sell without knowing or checking the product itself.

I did buy a software one and what I got is a zipfile contain the reseller no software! And that seller just say I’m lying when I contact him. After that he email me and say sorry and rather giving back my money he send me a new software which I already got it in my membership site.

Just to save his face I just accept it.
